Children, family, friends, and community volunteers are daily guests and contribute to homey experiences for the residents.
Our outreach to all
health care recipients is exemplified by Chariots of Hope, one of our affiliate organizations that recycles
used wheelchairs and donates them to needy people in local communities and around the world. In 2003 Chariots formed the first sled hockey team in CT for the physically challenged.
As a group of affiliated entities, the Newport Foundation keeps individual financial accountability for each corporate
body, defines roles for professional staff, and permits sharing of expertise among related corporations. This allows the Newport Foundation to focus entirely on obtaining grants and raising funds for
the affiliates.
Our achievements are a continuing process made possible through a cadre of dedicated workers
who deserve a standing ovation for their commitment to our mission. This includes our staff members,
boards of directors, consultants, and advisory council representatives.
We have a vision of making possible what some think is impossible – providing a continuum of
integrated conventional and holistic health care services for all who seek it. Along the way, we embrace all
who share this objective.
