Newport Foundation was founded after years of independent charity work by a concerned group of individuals who have personally been involved in independent charity projects throughout Southeast Asia and disaster relief in The Philippines and Haiti. We decided to open our doors and expand only when we realized we could do more good if we allowed more people into our circle. However, our founding principles remain firm. We do not allow members to act for recognition. We do not support anything putting an individual's interests ahead of our group's. We act as one for the purpose of doing good in the world, not for individual recognition.

We are local. We run everything from the orphanage and that is done by the people at our orphanages and project sites themselves. There is no outside meddling by drive by bleeding hearts because we believe the people on location know what is best.

We are international. We have many friends and supporters from all walks of life all around the globe. We can call on them, and do, for advice and support when needed. We do this in a open and honest way so that the best solutions for our goals are made without any personal ownership. “We” are doing this work. There is no “me”.

We bring out the very best in everyone who we connect with. And we are very excited with what we will achieve and the timeframes we have set to accomplish everything.
